My reviews are subjective and are based on my own personal opinion and mine alone. They are how I truly felt about a book, whether I liked it or not; how I felt about the characters; and if the story connected with me in some way.
I rate books strictly by the Amazon guidelines.
5 stars = I loved it. I loved the story, the characters, the feeling of the book; I would definitely read this book and author again. Books in the category I can say were special, memorable, awesome, or outstanding to me. I won't forget this book/characters/story for a long while. This book is on my keeper shelf.
4 stars = I liked it. Whether that's one of the main characters, the dialogue, the adventure, the overall romance, something about this book pleased me in some way and I would tell a friend that I liked/really liked this book. Usually, books in this category I can say were a good, very good, or a great read for me. I would definitely check this author out again.
3 stars = It was okay. Maybe I liked some of the story but not all of it. I can say this book was fair, average, just okay, or even fairly enjoyable for the most part. Not a bad read overall, just not good or great to me personally. Maybe it was more a nice or pleasant read. I'd probably try this author again.
2 stars = I didn't like it. Just didn't care for the story on most every level. I didn't connect to much of anything in the story.
1 star = I hated it. If I hated a book, it's a visceral reaction and is easy to explain why. I usually have several reasons why, and I state those reasons in the review.
Reviewing is a fun hobby for me. It was really something I started during a difficult time in my life a couple years ago, and at the encouragement of some great friends I had made here in an Amazon romance forum, I posted my first review, loved doing it, and have just kept with it. It was fun, and it helped me with some grief.
Also, the books I review are books I bought from Amazon or from other online retailers, from my local bookstore, or borrowed from friends or from the kindle lending library, or even from my own local library.

I thought this was a great read, really romantic, sweet, and with a lot of heart. I don't think you'd be lost here if you haven't read book 1 Off Sides (which was also sweetly romantic), but you do see the couple from that book again here. They don't hog the story at all, but I have to say that seeing Ryan and Danny again, seeing them deep into HEA and getting some totally sweet news about them, was one of the best things about this second book. It was just really good to see them again and touch base with a couple I loved. But back to this book, Off Limits, it's about Ryan's sister Emily and her hero, Nix Caldwell. I… Read more

This was an okay read for me. Some parts of it were really enjoyable (Troy), and other things about it I didn't totally connect with. Loved Troy, an emotionally wounded hero, rough around the edges, says it like he means it. I loved him as a man, just very masculine and just my type, especially with how bossy he is in the bedroom, very much in charge and in control, and the dirty talk and man-handling worked for me. I go for that, and I did enjoy most of the sex scenes, but I wasn't feeling the heroine that much. Liked her okay, for the most part, until toward the end when she seemed too hard for me, too unforgiving with Troy. And concerning the baddie and the investigation, I'll only say… Read more

I had just come off reading something fairly angsty when I picked up this novella today. This is a quick, sexy read, not really complicated in story, and just right for vegging out with something light and easy. I bought it and liked it for that reason. Sometimes I need a book like that. Put some music on, and then read something sweet and easy and with some good sex appeal going for it. Plus, I'd read book 1 ( The Santinis: Leonardo, Book 1) and liked it and its sweet hero. Also, the price was tempting as well. I really liked Marco, but what woman doesn't go for a hot Navy SEAL who's the strong, silent type? Sexy, stoic,… Read more
