Getting Started in the Kindle Store
You can purchase Kindle books, newspapers, magazines, and, if you are a U.S. customer, Kindle active content and blogs, through the Kindle Store on your computer or your Kindle device or compatible Kindle reading application.
Next, follow these three easy steps:
1. Start Shopping
On your computer, go to www.amazon.com/kindlestore.
Learn more about shopping for Kindle content for your Kindle reading application.
2. Purchase Kindle Books, Kindle Active Content, and More
When you've found a title you want, select the Buy button. The purchase will be applied to the 1-Click Payment Method on the Amazon account to which your Kindle device is registered.
If shopping from your Kindle device or Kindle reading application, the item will be wirelessly delivered to your device. If shopping from your computer, the item will be delivered to whichever device you’ve selected under the "Deliver to" dropdown menu under the Buy button.
Content purchased from the Kindle Store is automatically stored in your Kindle Library on Amazon.com, which you can access through Manage Your Kindle.
3. Start Reading
If your device is connected wirelessly, the item you’ve purchased will immediately be available on the device you’ve used to purchase the item or the device selected in the "Deliver to" dropdown menu during your purchase. If the item is not available from your Home screen or Device tab, check the Cloud tab and tap the item to open it and download it to your device.
If you’re having problems purchasing or accessing your Kindle content, see our troubleshooting guide.
Refunds and returns
You can request a refund for items purchased from the Kindle Store within seven days of purchase through Manage Your Kindle. Click the Actions button next to the title you'd like to return, and select Return for refund. Once a refund is issued, you will no longer have access to the book.
Learn more about returning Kindle content.
