5.0 out of 5 stars 2010 Impreza Outback Sport, July 30, 2010
Being a long time Dodge and Jeep owner, I made the switch after having numerous issues with the Dodge Caliber we bought new in 2007.
First impressions are QUALITY! You can tell right away these cars are built with the best quality materials. Then driving it was the deal maker. All wheel drive, at least subaru's version (being the first and longest to have it) was absolutley awesome. The salesmen drove me out to a gravel pit during the test drive. He instruted me to come to a stop, then "floor it". I did just that, put the pedal to the floor and never spun one stone! Not only that, but cornering is great. You can really feel the tires grip the road.
Top notch company, and a top notch car!

2.0 out of 5 stars Should have kept the Forester, January 8, 2012
This review is from: Subaru
I traded a 2003 Forester for a 2010 Outback. What a HUGE mistake. The 03 had nothing wrong with it other that smelling a little gamey carrying two dogs all of the time. With 150K miles, no rattles or squeaks and everything worked. Then comes the '10. Hard starting which the dealer cannot diagnose, multiple recalls, a sticking sunroof which the dealer never fixed, a misadjusted rear deck and a rattle and wind noise, all within 45k miles. Subaru is a great car, but this thing is a lemon. I should have paid to have the Forester cleaned!

About This Manufacturer

Subaru started life in 1917 as the Aircraft Research Laboratory and was renamed Nakajima Aircraft in 1932 when it became a major supplier to the Japanese military. The name was changed again to Fuji Sangyo before the government split it into 12 separate companies in 1950, but five of those companies rejoined to form Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI). Those five companies are represented by the five...
